VTI Life Sciences (VTI) seeks a Talent Acquisition Specialist with GMP Pharmaceutical Commissioning, Qualification and Validation (CQV), and Automation recruiting experience.  As a VTI Talent Acquisition Specialist, you will assist with our recruitment process, including competitive high-volume job searches.  The position will report to the VTI Senior Recruiter and can be based in our San Diego Corporate Office or can be done on a remote basis for the right candidate.
This position will provide recruiting expertise, maintain an applicant tracking system, and support VTI Senior Recruiter's established sourcing systems.  As a Recruiter and Talent Advisor, you will address unique needs and spikes in hiring volume and assist in developing the temporary and full-time employee pipeline. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in recruiting and creatively sourcing and hiring talent in a geographically dispersed organization. You will report directly to VTI senior recruiter for daily instructions.
Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with VTI Senior Recruiters regularly and proactively to identify hiring needs.
  • Conduct full cycle recruiting including sourcing, phone screens, interviews, and reference checks. 
  • Update job descriptions and postings.
  • Source a pipeline of technical candidates by utilizing our internal database, sourcing partners, job boards, networking, referrals, and social media.
  • Proactively research and evaluate new sourcing ideas and methods to create innovative strategies.
  • Develop a network of business and candidate contacts.
  • Provide recruiting metrics to the VTI Operations Team
  • Establish relationships with active and passive candidates for current or future openings.
  • Support Senior Recruiter, Business Development group, and HR with onboarding new candidates.
  • Understand immigration policies to recruit foreign national resources to support VTI's domestic (USA) and international. (preferred but not a requirement)
Qualifications:
  • A four-year college degree in a related discipline
  • Must have 2+ years of successful experience recruiting validation and technical resources for contract/consultant roles and FTE candidates in the Pharmaceutical, Biotechnology, Biologics, Medical Devices, or Life Sciences Industries in one or more of the following disciplines: GMP Manufacturing Equipment and Facilities, Commissioning, Qualification, Validation and Automation
  • Ability to assist with reporting, audits, or other assigned recruiting functions.
  • Must be able to partner with an Operations team to ensure a smooth sourcing and hiring process.
  • Coordinate interviews and other recruiting activities
  • Be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Must have experience with Applicant Tracking Systems
  • Ability to build strong relationships.
  • Self-confidence and a self-starter
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
